Shooter: Big Guns, Bigger Names

Five big names. Peña, Glover, Mara, Fuqua and Wahlberg. All here with Paramount's Shooter, which is destined to be a big draw in a pretty packed box office weekend. Wahlberg's on top of his game now, coming off the heels of his Oscar nomination for The Departed, and Michael Peña and Kate Mara are two young actors coming into their own.

Director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Tears of the Sun) has pretty much secured his own brand of action thriller, tense and rough and fast. Plus, it's so cool seeing a guy like Danny Glover playing a villain. He told me he has been wearing braces for more than two years, and for real, there will not be a Lethal Weapon 5. Bummer, dude.

Beyond having an all-star cast, Shooter is based on a book of the same name, features a small performance from troubled actor Lane Garrison and throws down an Anna Nicole joke that seems just plain inappropriate (shot, obviously, before her death).

Check out what happened when Wahlberg and I shoot the s--t.
