Earlier this week, Australia's New Weekly magazine reported that Harry Styles recently sent his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift 1,989 roses—a nod to the success of her latest album, 1989. The tabloid also alleged that the One Direction singer had been "plaguing Taylor with texts, begging her for a rematch."

Swift seems like the kind of girl who appreciates a grand gesture, but is it too good to be true?

Styles addressed the report on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday. "I know about the rumor," he said. "I don't know anything about the roses. I think it might have been someone else and I may have falsely taken [credit]." Host Ellen DeGeneres laughed and said, "You got credit for being romantic like that."

On Thursday night, the boys of 1D—Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Styles and Louis Tomlinson—stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and revealed which member is most likely to do various things. Payne readily admitted he's the most likely to forget lyrics mid-concert, while Malik confirmed that he's the most likely person to disappear for a few days without contacting his fellow band mates. Asked who is most likely to let a woman split the band apart, Styles replied, "We've never really had that problem."

"Obviously these teenage girls are very excited to see you, but have you ever been there where teenage girls love you and then her mother hits on you?" Jimmy Kimmel asked. "Sometimes they almost, like, push them out of the way," Styles replied. He later added, "There's been a couple [times] where the moms have been like, 'My daughter loves you,' and then you look at the girl and she's like [over it]."

Before the appearance ended, Kimmel asked the boy band to help him take the #CutestSelfieEver. To make it extra special, they posed in front of a backdrop and posed with a baby dressed as a cherry, stuffed animals, kittens in a teacup, twin ballerinas, Boo the puppy, Kimmel's young nephew and a unicorn. After putting on tiaras, feather boas and hats, the group snapped a photo using a selfie stick.
