Maybe it's only fitting that the creator of The Bachelor may be a bit of an instigator around the house, too.

TV and film producer Mike Fleiss, whose credits include ABC's aforementioned rose fest, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of disturbing the peace by loud noise for allegedly blaring  the recorded sound of barking dogs in his neighbors' direction from his Malibu home.

And his neighbors happen to be Brooke Burke and David Charvet!

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office confirmed the charge Thursday to E! News, saying that he "willfully, unlawfully and maliciously disturbed David Charvet by loud and unreasonable noise." Charvet and Burke (who now goes by Brooke Burke-Charvet) tied the knot in 2011 but had been together for years before that and have two children together. Brooke is also mom to two kids with ex Garth Fisher.

Fleiss was processed into the system yesterday afternoon at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station, then released literally moments later after posting $10,000 bail, according to his booking sheet.

TMZ was first to report that the noise in question was the sound of howling and barking dogs. In October, Charvet apparently tried and failed to secure a restraining order against Fleiss, claiming that his neighbor was blasting the dog sounds at 3 a.m., 3:45 a.m, 5:45 a.m., etc.

Woof.

ABC had no comment on the matter.
