Tweet well, and thou may be rewarded with a visit from "God" and with a "sexy lil kizz" from the hot star of Fight Club...OK, the other hot star of Fight Club.
Saturday Night Live actress Aidy Bryant and several other cast members appear in an unaired SNL sketch that was posted on the NBC show's YouTube page on Wednesday and was cut for time.
In the skit, she plays a woman named Rebecca who posts her 10,000th tweet—which, naturally, inspires a huge musical number, with appearances by President Barack Obama, played by Jay Pharoah, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, played by Kate McKinnon, and even "God," played by Woody Harrelson.
The latter star, who is promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, had hosted SNL this past weekend (check out five highlights, plus videos!).
But the true show-stopping moment features a cameo from Fight Club actor Edward Norton, who stars with Michael Keaton in the new dark comedy film Birdman. He proves what many of us have suspected and hoped—that glorious things could happen to you when you @-ing a celebrity on Twitter.
As Norton steps onto the stage, he starts applauding Bryant.
"That was wonderful," he says.
"Edward Norton!" Bryant says. "Oh my God, I loved Birdman!"
"And I loved what you tweeted about Birdman," he replies. "You wrote, "Watching Birdman right now OMG @EdwardNorton #oscartakenote."
"And I really meant it," she says.
"Rebecca, it's people like you that the Academy really pays attention to," he says. "So, to return the favor, here's something to report in your next tweet."
On Twitter, Bryant described the moment as a "sexy lil kizz."
Then "God" floats down from above, saying he was told "the greatest miracle has occurred on Earth."
In return for turning "absolutely nothing into tweets," he bestows upon Rebecca a huge...responsibility and also hands her the keys to a "pretty nice" set of wheels.
