Now this will get ‘90s fans smiling from ear to ear!

Dawson's Creek alum James Van Der Beek thought he was going to just a typical party Saturday night. All things changed, however, when he ran into former co-star Joshua Jackson.

"The most pleasant run-ins can happen in the most unexpected places..." James shared on Instagram as he posed for a picture with his friend.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen! Dawson Leery and Pacey Witter are back together and they're not fighting over Joey Potter (Katie Holmes).

The mini reunion comes just a few short days after the ATX Television Festival announced its plans for their season four festival scheduled for June 2015. As it turns out, fans of the beloved series have a whole lot to look forward to.

WB

Creator Kevin Williamson and showrunner Greg Berlanti will join a multitude of producers, writers and assistants in a Writer's Room Reunion panel, which we can only hope will provide some secrets and closure for the series.

"Dawson's Creek and Kevin Williamson changed my life and gave me a career," Berlanti said in a statement to E! News. "Nothing could be more exciting then to be back with so many people I respect and admire than my fellow writers from the show... and our amazing creator, Kevin."

Maybe all this reunion talk shouldn't come as a surprise to us. After all, Holmes recently shared how the cast stays in contact after all these years.

"You know, we all still keep in touch and support each other," she shared during a Q&A at the Apple Store in New York City. "And luckily, we all have been able to stay busy. We had a really wonderful time. It was six years of our lives, and we were all really passionate about making it the best it could be."

She added, "I love them all so dearly. I'm so excited for everyone and proud."

Great, now Joey Potter is going to make us cry. Happy tears, of course.
