From one Housewife to another, Lisa Vanderpump feels for Teresa Giudice.

At the fifth season premiere party for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last night at Greystone Manor, the reality-TV star and restaurateur told E! News that she hasn't spoken with her New Jersey counterpart since Teresa and husband Joe were sentenced to prison time, but they have texted and she can only imagine what the Giudices are going through.

"I have a lot of empathy for her situation as regarding her children and the family, because I know she's absolutely a wonderful mother," said Lisa, who along with her fellow Beverly Hills denizens will be back on Bravo on Nov. 18. "She worships the children, so I do feel sorry for her about that, I really do."

Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison on fraud charges, to be served before Joe is locked up for 41 months for fraud and failure to file income taxes so that their four daughters will have at least one of their parents taking care of them at any given time.

A judge has signed off on Teresa serving her time at the Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury, in Connecticut, the same place where the real-life Piper Kerman spent a year before penning the series-inspiring memoir Orange Is the New Black.

But while Lisa certainly empathizes, she of course can't really say that Teresa's been given a raw deal.

"Unfortunately, you know, actions have consequences and I don't know exactly what went down, but I know certainly, just from one Housewife to another, I send her love and support, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," Lisa said, sending optimistic vibes Teresa's way.

Watch the whole clip to hear more about what Lisa had to say about Teresa, and don't miss more coverage of the RHOBH premiere tonight on E! News at 7 p.m. & 11 p.m.
