Looks like Glenn Howerton's life just got a little bit sunnier.
E! News confirms the 38-year-old Always Sunny in Philadelphia star and wife Jill Latiano have welcomed their second child, a baby boy. The two stealthily shared the news while speaking to E! News on the red carpet at Thursday night's 7th Annual Go Go Gala in Beverly Hills, where the pair passionately showed their support for the charity, which works to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world.
"We have little boys," Latiano told us, confirming the lovebird's latest addition to their family. "And on one hand I'm glad I don't have a girl because there are so many things, but on the other hand there's just as much with the boys and teaching them how to respect women and there are just so many things with a child."
The wee one, who, according to People, is named Isley Ray, joins 3-year-old big brother Miles Robert.
"It's even different than when we grew up…" the mother of two said of raising their children. "It's so different, it's just a different world that these kids are living in with access to Internet and social media."
The couple spilled beans on their bundle of joy while speaking about the atrocities of sex trafficking, as Ruchira Gupta, an anti-human trafficking activist, Clinton Global Citizen Award recipient and Emmy Award winner, was being honored for her life's work at the event.
"I think the crazy thing about it is how much you don't hear about it," Howerton said of the fact that sex trafficking is still very much alive in our world today. "The weird thing is that it's such an incendiary topic, you think you would be hearing about it a lot."
"And you hear about it in other countries," Latiano added. "And I think people don't realize that it's happening right here at home and it's wonderful that they're shining a light on that."
The pair, who were busy chatting with fellow attendee Robert Pattinson throughout the night, also noted that it's important to give back when you have a celebrity platform.
"In the entertainment business...I think it's our responsibility...to give back, to spread the world and to help where we can," Howerton said. "Weirdly, there are people who pay attention to what I do, what I care about and so, if I can bring attention to something that deserves people's attention, I'm certainly happy to do that."
Meanwhile, the couple seems to be busier than ever as they juggle life with a 3-month-old newborn son in addition to Howerton's upcoming projects.
"It's another good season," Howerton said of the hit comedy Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which has been on the air for ten years. "Happy to say, the president of the network, it's his favorite season we've ever done...and then myself and Rob [McElhenney] and Charlie [Day], we have a company now and we're producing some other shows."
So what can fans expect from the comedic trio?
"Right now, the easy thing for us to do is comedy, but we do hope to produce some drama in the future," he said. "We don't even come from a comedy background, which is odd, so, you know, we want to dabble in other things."
Can't wait to see what Howerton and Co. have in store! And congrats to the proud parents!
