Colin Farrell Is F--king Hot!

We'll get to the f--king business in a minute, but first: Who knew Colin Farrell and Mary-Kate Olsen were pals?

Olsen showed up at the Lift last night in Park City for the opening-night party celebrating the premiere of Farrell’s new comedy In Bruges. “I just got here,” she told a friend while braving the 10-degree weather to smoke a cigarette. “I’m gonna stay, so I can say hello to Colin.”

That was about all she stayed for. She and Farrell chatted for a few minutes before Olsen made her way home. “I don’t think there’s much more going on tonight,” she was overheard saying. “We should save it for tomorrow night.”

Farrell looked superhot with long hair. And I loved the way he was dressed, 'cause, well, it’s the same way I usually dress: V-neck sweater, shirt, tie and jeans!

In homage to the movie’s curse-filled dialogue, waiters and bartenders wore T-shirts that read “My best friend went to f--king Bruges and all I got was this f--king shirt.” Drink coasters read “Where the f--k is the city of Bruges?” Cocktails were from Hpnotiq, and alcohol-free drinks were from SmartWater.

The Lift will be hosting a bunch of private dinners during the festival, including one for the cast of Matthew Broderick’s movie Diminished Capacity. I'm betting Sarah Jessica Parker may be there, because she’s also hitting Sundance for her movie Smart People.

Down Main Street, the usual crazy crowd surrounded Tao at Harry O’s. Akon performed after hosting the ChefDance dinner a couple of floors below. But I didn't see Akon at the din-din prepared by James Boyce of the Montage in Laguna, California, and cosponsored by Von Dutch. Rapper Chamillionaire was there (though I’ll admit I had no idea who he was until someone told me), as was Rex Lee. The Entourage star showed up with his own entourage and had to work the door people with some smooth talking in order to get the half-dozen people with him inside.

Producer Lawrence Bender sat at a table with Lee and Chamillionaire, while a couple of tables away was legendary New York restaurateur Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque.

Yesterday, I told you there's buzz that U2 would be the surprise performer at the premiere party for U2 3D. A rep for the party insists that's not happening. However, a festival insider told me last night, “I hear they may just go to a small bar and jump onstage to perform.”

Now, I have to tell you about my little paparazzi adventure. I saw Randy Quaid yesterday at the airport in Salt Lake City. And when I caught him busting out what looked like a full-length fur, I just had to try to get a pic. That’s him all blurry in the photo above. Shows you why I stick to words and try not to play paparazzo.
