Caterina Scorsone, Grey's Anatomy

ABC/Adam Taylor

We're pretty sure the whole point of going to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous is the "anonymous" part, but looks like someone forgot that little fact on Grey's Anatomy.

When Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), aka Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) sister, gets a blast from her dark past during this week's episode of the hit ABC medical drama, the encounter leaves her shaken...and her job as head of neurosurgery at Grey Sloan Memorial in jeopardy!

We've got your exclusive first look at the intense interaction. Watch the video below now!

Someone needs to remind this patient's daughter that outing your NA friendsespecially at their work, and in front of their boss!—is a big no-no. Also, we get it that she's stressed about her parents' injuries, but is it just us or is she overreacting about Amelia way too much?

We all know that Amelia has struggled with addiction in the past, but she's cleaned up her act and turned her life around since moving to Seattle. She is making her second chance count, and we couldn't be prouder of her.

But now that Amelia's secret is out, is her new life as she knows it over? Will Owen (Kevin McKidd) fire her now that he knows about her extremely dark history? Derek has been gunning to get his spot as the head of neuro back for a while, but this isn't a good way to get it!

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 pm on ABC.
