We want a Paddington bear, too!

A new U.S. trailer for Paddington, a live-action adaptation of the beloved British children's books by author Michael Bond, has hit the Internet and therefore introduced the silly furball to American audiences—and we love him!

It all starts when a young English boy befriends a talking bear found at a London train station, and subsequently convinces his family to take him in. Paddington, although very cute, also gets into his fair share of trouble (like practically flooding the entire house, for example).

But like all great childhood tales, there's one villainous character who is trying to ruin it for everyone—and in this case, it's Nicole Kidman.

The movie also features Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, current Doctor Who Peter Capaldi and Ben Wishaw, who replaces the originally announced Colin Firth as the voice of Paddington.

In June, Firth took the trendy way out of lending his voice to the titular bear when he said in a statement confirmed by his rep, "After a period of denial, we've chosen 'conscious uncoupling,'" (clearly poking fun at Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's separation announcement).

"It's been bittersweet to see this delightful creature take shape and come to the sad realization that he simply doesn't have my voice," the star of The King's Speech said. "I've had the joy of seeing most of the film and it's going to be quite wonderful. I still feel rather protective of this bear and I'm pestering them all with suggestions for finding a voice worthy of him."

Paddington hits theaters Jan. 16 2015.
