What's funnier than kids who think their parents ate all their Halloween candy? Wannabe-famous people trying to make it in a fake talent show!

Thanks to Jimmy Kimmel Live, we get to see both scenarios unfold on late-night TV. On Thursday, just three days after Kimmel aired the infamous "I ate all your Halloween candy" bit, he introduced "what may be my biggest idea of the year," a made-up little show called "Do You Have What IT Takes?"

"Every week, hundreds, thousands of people come to Hollywood in search of a dreams," prefaced Kimmel. "Some of them want to be actors, some of them want to be singers, most of them just want to be famous. I created a show for those people—people who don't need talent, because they have a little something called it."

It? What's it? Well, Kimmel and his crew put an ad on Craigslist, he explained, and invited people in the L.A.-area to audition for this fictitious competition. "We gave no details other than this," he said. "If you have what it takes, we'd love to year from you—hey had no idea who was involved until they walked into the room and saw me and our panel of judges."

The panel, whose job it was to describe whether each hopeful had it or not, consisted of Kimmel, TLC's Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Cosby Show alum Malcolm-Jamal Warner and E! News correspondent Ali Fedotowsky.

So, what happened happened? Well, you either have it or you don't, and these judges weren't holding back. A panel of hopefuls were paraded before them, some singing, some speaking, some simply talking about the pasta sauces they like to make.

But not everyone has it, you know. So who made it on to the next round?! Watch the Jimmy Kimmel Live! clip above to find out!
