Or maybe Michael Jordan dissing his golf game was just one too many criticisms too many on Monday and it was time to let off a little steam.
Asked during an interview with Wisconsin radio station WJMR about Jordan calling the commander in chief' a "s--tty golfer" during a recent sit-down with Ahmad Rashad, Obama humorously suggested that Jordan stick to worrying about basketball.
"Mike and I, we know each other but I've never played golf with him," POTUS said, noting that he and Rashad had teamed together on the golf course before and on two occasions beat former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning.
"Michael wasn't very well informed about this, I think he might've just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show," Obama continued, per The Hill. And here comes the burn...
"But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am," the president added. "Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case. He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats — or the Hornets."

Jordan bought a piece of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2006, since which the North Carolina team has posted a 250-394 record, including the games they've played so far this year now that they're the Charlotte Hornets (1-3) again.
The NBA Hall of Famer, who as a player with the Chicago Bulls won six championships, was talking about the president's golf game in the first place because Rashad asked who he'd have on his dream team.
"I've never played with Obama, but I would," Jordan said, before quickly reconsidering. "But...nah, that's OK. I'll take him out. He's a hack. Man, I'd be all day playing with him!"
Rashad asked if he was sure he wanted to put that out there, to which Jordan replied, sounding perfectly relaxed, "Don't worry about it. I never said he wasn't a great politician, I just said he's a s--tty golfer."
