No surprises here, people: Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood dominated the 2014 CMA Awards red carpet.

Miranda's soft pink Bibhu Mohapatra gown oozed Old Hollywood elegance, with sheer paneled details and a flowing train to top off the whimsical design. Not that we paid attention to Miranda's gown for long, though—her ultra-toned physique stole the show!

We hoped for a more bump-revealing gown from Carrie, but her richly embroidered Lorena Sarbu gown was far from disappointing. The high-low hem and sheer overlay bodice aren't her go-to styles, but who's complaining? Girl looks phenomenal!

Country music's latest addition, Lucy Hale, stepped up her red carpet game in a striking crimson Romona Keveza gown. Also on our radar, Nicole Kidman radiated in a graceful, ultra-sheer Roberto Cavalli gown. The long-sleeved design bordered risqué, but overall it was a compelling

Kellie Pickler nabbed a clear win with her midnight blue Johnathan Kayne embellished gown, featuring the evening's trend du jour: sheer illusion panels. The look was flawless, and we dare say her best yet!

But they can't all be winners. Point in case: Clare Bowen. The Nashville star's gown edged into prom dress territory, and the embellished bottom half was excessive.

We're not sure what party Gretchen Wilson meant to attend, but her jeans-and-tank ensemble was far from CMA Awards-worthy. And while Aubrey Peeples' outfit may have been CMAs-appropriate with its sparkling bottom half, her cropped top was out of place.

Alone, Kacey Musgraves' neutral beaded Oscar de la Renta gown is fine. But no one noticed, because her outrageous hairdo robbed the dress all of its red carpet glory.

And rounding out our list of worst dressed celebs, Brantley Gilbert makes the list for the second year in a row. Sorry, Brantley, but jeans and beanies just don't make the cut.
