Is Meryl Streep anything like her Devil Wears Prada character? Anne Hathaway found her to be—during filming, that is.

"When I met her she gave me a huge hug," the 31-year-old actress recalled last week on The Graham Norton Show. "[A]nd I'm like, 'Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie.' And then she's like, ‘Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you.'"

"She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of ‘Meryl' for months, until we promoted the film," she added.

Anne clarified that Meryl, 65, is actually "the most amazing, warm person." In other words, that "ice queen" persona was the master's way of staying in character in between takes!

In real life, Anne has a thing or two in common with the character she played opposite Meryl in the 2006 film. She's certainly more polished and confident than Andy Sachs, but she definitely has her fair share of embarrassing moments!

On Monday's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Anne poked fun at herself, even ranking a few of these public blunders. Then again, she has a pretty high threshold when it comes to these things.

"The thing about me and embarrassment, you have to remember, is that it all happens on a scale," she explained. "So on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 is just like being a person walking down the street, and 10 is, for me, co-hosting the Oscars with James Franco [in 2011]...which, by the way, is only tied with being honored to accept an Oscar [Best Supporting Actress for Les Misérables] whilst wearing a dress that I knew made it look like my nipples were erect."

Way to work whilst and a humblebrag into a single sentence! In any case, watch the clip above to hear all about Anne's mid-level embarrassing moment involving her Interstellar co-star Matthew McConaughey!
