Power couple alert—both on- and off-screen!

Brad Pitt and wife Angelina Jolie were spotted together in Malta on Monday where they were snapped filming a seemingly touching scene for their upcoming flick By the Sea.

The real-life lovebirds, who play a married couple facing challenges in their relationship in the forthcoming flick, were both seen in costume, with Jolie sporting a dirty blond wig, a flowy white dress, and a yellow chiffon scarf while Pitt, 50, rocked a fedora hat, a crisp white shirt and a gray mustache.

The two appear to share a tender moment on-screen as they put their love on display for the cameras. The 39-year-old stunner was photographed fondly rubbing her hubby's back while he tenderly caressed her neck.

Set in France in the 1970s, the Jolie-penned drama tells the story of a former dancer and her husband, an American writer, who travel together and see their relationship challenged. The mother of six is also directing the Pitt-produced film, which marks the first time the two have shared the big screen together since their 2005 hit Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Earlier this month, Pitt, who wed his longtime love in late August when the two took a brief pause in the filming of their highly anticipated flick, joked that he and Jolie had a "dysfunctional honeymoon," since they spent their first days as husband and wife on set.

"It was our choice," the talented thesp told USA Today. "It's been fun. It's been challenging but really fun."

By the Sea is the third film directed by Jolie, who made her big-screen directorial and screenwriting debut with the 2011 war movie In the Land of Blood and Honey. The romantic drama is set for release on Christmas Day 2015.
