Today's hot young things got nothin' on these two sexagenarians.

Meryl Streep and Rick Springfield, both 65, were spotted sharing a passionate kiss while shooting a night-time scene for Ricki and the Flash, director Jonathan Demme's latest ode to rock and roll, on the streets of New York.

Meryl, who plays an aging (but obviously still super-hot) rocker who put music before her family throughout her life and is now paying the emotional price, was all decked out in stovepipe jeans, a leather jacket and badass boots, a few braids woven into her long blond locks.

And Springfield, with his long hair and scruff, looked... well, exactly like himself.

The General Hospital star has probably been heard more times than can be counted on the big screen (seriously, how many famous movie scenes have featured "Jessie's Girl?"), but this is a huge breakthrough in the feature-film-acting department for him.

He plays a bandmate (so he'll be showing off his real-life skills onscreen, too) of Meryl's Ricki who's crushing hard on the singer—and it appears that, at least during part of the movie, he gets the girl.

Diablo Cody, who won a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Juno, penned the script. Over the years, Demme, also an Oscar winner for directing Silence of the Lambs, has helmed concert documentaries and videos about The Pretenders, Bruce Springsteen, New Order and Neil Young, so he should be right in his element.

And this means we've got lots of musical Meryl to look forward to. The multitalented three-time Oscar winner, who played a singer in Postcards From the Edge and did the ABBA-Broadway thing in Mamma Mia, will be surely stealing the show as the Witch in the upcoming adaptation of Into the Woods, in theaters on Dec. 25.

Ricki and the Flash, which is due out June 26, 2015, also stars Meryl's eldest daughter, Mamie Gummer, along with Kevin Kline, Sebastian Stan and Ben Platt.
