Edward Mordrake isn't just looking for any old Freak Show performer on American Horror Story: Freak Show. No, in the exclusive clip above from "Edward Mordrake Part 2," Wes Bentley's character reveals he's looking for the perfect "grail" to take back to the beyond with him.
"Before this night is through I will find my grail, one more pure freak to add to our unhappy number," he says in the preview above.
Last week Edward Mordrake passed over Ethel (Kathy Bates) and this week it looks like he's making his rounds to Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) and some other members of her troupe…including Legless Suzi (Rose Siggins)! In the first part of the Edward Mordrake saga, Elsa performed a Lana Del Rey song, which brought the mythical figure to Jupiter, Florida. Legend has it the two-faced man collects a soul on Halloween if "freaks" perform.
The episode will reveal some backstory for various Freak Show characters and there's a healthy dose of Twisty (John Carroll Lynch). You've been warned.
Like the first part, "Edward Mordrake Part 2" includes music by the band Pere Ubu. The band provided Edward Mordrake's theme music with their song "Road to Utah." Twisty's theme in these two Halloween episodes is their song "Carnival."
In other American Horror Story news, Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka have joined the cast for the last few episodes of the FX series.
