Safe to say this week has been pretty purrfect for Taylor Swift

The 24-year-old pop star's latest album 1989 officially debuted on Monday, and in addition to earning rave reviews, the record has skyrocketed to the top of the music charts. Oh, and in case that's not enough of a treat, today also happens to be National Cat Day.

Yeah, this week was made for T.Swift.

So of course, as the hitmaker continues to make the press rounds, she's constantly quizzed about her cats—Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, whom, as any loyal Swiftie knows, are bona fide celebrity pets.

"National Cat Day today!" the "Shake It Off" singer exclaimed with excitement during her appearance on The View this morning.

As she's previously shared, Swift named her pets after her small-screen role models—specifically, Ellen Pompeo's character on Grey's Anatomy and Mariska Hargitay's on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit—and she reiterated that the inspiration behind their monikers comes from "strong female characters on my favorite TV shows."

In honor of #NationalCatDay, here is a photo of that one time I caught Meredith and Olivia cuddling.

Both cats have found Internet fame thanks to Swift's never-ending Instagram pictures, and Olivia Benson is even a Keds shoe model in addition to being Tay's favorite NYC sidekick

"The first one, Meredith, started out as a very friendly kitten, and then she became some sort of an Internet celebrity, and I think she kind of changed a little," Taylor admitted, humorously throwing shade at her adorable Scottish Fold. "She just kind sits around and she's always giving me the side glance. Like I don't matter anymore to her, because she knows that she was like 2013's most popular celebrity cat.

"So then there's the new one, who has terrible balance and walks into walls," she continued, describing Olivia's unique personality. "Falls asleep on you purring, so she's like polar opposite."

Too cute!

In addition to her appearance on The View, the super star also recently stopped by eTalk TV, where she was convinced to make cat noises and imitate her kitties.

As expected, the self-professed cat lady can purr like a pro.

To which we say: Happy National Cat Day, Taylor! And Happy Taylor Swift Week to the rest of us!
