Jessica Paré is pregnant with her first child, the Mad Men star's rep confirms to E! News. The lucky daddy-to-be is her musician boyfriend John Kastner, a fellow French-Canadian.
It's unclear (just how series creator Matthew Weiner would want it, of course) how Paré will factor into the final seven episodes of Mad Men's seventh and final season, premiering next year on AMC, since her Megan and Jon Hamm's Don Draper seemed to finally be headed for a permanent split after living on separate coasts.
"It's really bittersweet. Mostly bitter," Paré told Elle in June at the launch of Baume & Mercier's Promesse watch collection in New York.
"Not bitter as in angry. Just, I love those people so much, and it's just been such a privilege to work on the show in general and to work with such an incredibly talented group of writers. They're amazing, and they astound me at every turn. I'm really bowled over by their sheer genius on a daily basis. Every time I drive to work, I have this heart full of joy. Oh my god, I just realized what the inscription on my watch is going to be..."
The 33-year-old actress, who will be on the big screen Feb. 15 reprising the role of Tara in Hot Tub Time Machine 2, was previously married for about three years to writer-producer Joseph M. Smith. They divorced in 2010.
She stepped out with Kastner, who fronted the hard-core Canadian punk band Asexual years ago and is a singer-guitarist for All Systems Go!, in 2012 and they made their most recent red carpet appearance together in August at Audi's Celebration of Emmys Week. Kastner has a daughter from his marriage to The Dead Zone actress Nicole de Boer.
