It doesn't sound like Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have a lot of say in what they'll be dressing up as on Halloween.

Their 3-year-old daughter, Haven, is the decision-maker for the trick-or-treat holiday.

"Haven wants to be a bunny rabbit," Warren told me the other day while promoting the latest collection of his men's sock line Pair of Thieves. "I think I have to be a bunny rabbit with her. She's like, 'I want you to be a bunny rabbit.'"

Haven has insisted Alba slip into a rabbit costume, too. "I'm going to see if there's any wiggle room there on my end, but I doubt it," Warren said with a laugh.

The couple's 6-year-old daughter, Honor, went as a "rainbow mermaid princess" last year. "This year is a combination too with a new bend to it from Monster High," Warren said.

Speaking of family cuteness, Pair of Thieves will be releasing a matching dad and kids combo pack in December.

So what's behind Warren's interest in socks? He says it goes back to when he and one of his business partners were classmates in middle school and high school.

"It's something I've always been passionate about," Warren said. "Even back in school we were always checking out each others' sock games and whatnot. We used to play basketball in argyle socks and doing things differently like that. Being a big fan of the category has never waned."

Pack of Thieves socks are anything but basic. They're multi-colored with bold graphic prints. And they're also inexpensive at just $5.99 (available at Target).

"When I first started doing research on the space, it was 99 percent white and black socks for guys, but over the last few years we've all seen that change," Warren said.

Alba didn't flinch when Warren first told her he was thinking of getting into the sock business. "She was like, 'That's awesome!'" he said. "She said, 'That's really cool. You've always taken pride in the socks you wear.'"

And if you're inclined to snicker at Warren's endeavor, keep in mind that Ralph Lauren started out by selling ties he made out of rags.

Warren laughed, "I don't mind if you drew that parallel."
