Helen Mirren is the newest U.K. brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris, and we have to say, Dame Helen is looking more beautiful than ever.

The 69-year-old has partnered with the brand for a campaign centered on the notion that true beauty is ageless. Shots show a smiling Mirren—her appearance untouched by Photoshop and other fancy enhancement tools—posing in a simple black pantsuit. The Oscar winner looks fresh-faced and at ease in the photos, which may speak to her natural grace and confidence. Her makeup is pretty but understated (we can spot eyeliner, mascara and a soft pink lip).

The next question would be, well, "What's her secret?—but Mirren's glow doesn't stem from any fixed beauty routine.

"I don't really know what a beauty routine is," Mirren told Redbook in a July 2014 interview. "But I love beauty products, and I'm always trying new ones."

The actress remained modest (with a touch of wry humor) in a statement about the new L'Oréal partnership: "I have always loved the L'Oréal Paris brand, and I am truly delighted to become an ambassador and join such an impressive group of high-achievers," she said. "I am not gorgeous, I never was, but I was always OK-looking and I'm keen to stay that way." (We'd say you look far better than OK, Helen!)

Mirren is not the only actress to be helming major beauty campaigns in her sixties: Earlier this year, American Horror Story star Jessica Lange was named the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, and British actress Charlotte Rampling, 68, was announced as the new face of Nars.

It seems actresses who age gracefully are the new beauty icons to look up to—with strong women like Mirren, Lange and Rampling leading the crusade.
