Kelly Clarkson Wows Taylor Swift and Fans With Amazing Cover of "Shake it Off"—Watch Now!

T-Swift shares her approval of the rendition hours before her album is released

Add Kelly Clarkson to the long list of Taylor Swift admirers.

Just a few hours before her new album is released, the "Shake it Off" singer received quite the surprise when Clarkson covered her new single at a concert in Buffalo, New York.

Wearing a loose-fitting black dress, Clarkson got the crowd guessing when she hinted at a special performance.

"This is a church song, this is a soulful song, this is one of my favorite songs out right now," she shared. "And you think you know it but you don't. It's not Sam Smith."

Then who is it? Cue T-Swift's "Shake it Off" please!

"I'm going to bring it in," she added. "Bring in a little Jesus."

As the crowd immediately erupts in applause, Clarkson adds a gospel vibe to the catchy track that has skyrocketed to the top of the charts.

But as the catchy chorus approaches, the American Idol winner can't help but follow it's pop version.

So what did Swift think of the cover? Let's just say she loved it!

"Watching Kelly Clarkson SLAY ‘Shake It Off' is an excellent way to celebrate 26 HOURS TIL 1989!!!!! #TS1989," she wrote on Twitter with a link to the cover.

Clarkson quickly replied, "Love this song! Hope you like our gospel beginning ha! We had fun with it! Congrats on the new album coming out girl!"

That highly anticipated new disc is set to be released at 12 midnight EST Monday morning. Swift promises fans that they won't be disappointed.

"We've made my favorite album I've ever made," she said during a recent interview. We're sooo excited!
