Chrissy Teigen Not Apologizing for Tweeting About Ottawa Shooting: ''It's Been Awhile Since I Pissed a Ton of People Off''

Model is facing backlash over her comments

Chrissy Teigen has previously admitted she regrets what she says on Twitter "all the time," but now, after receiving backlash for a series of tweets about the recent shooting in Ottawa, Canada, John Legend's wife is refusing to back down. 

It all began when the Sports Illustrated stunner took to the social media site to share her thoughts on the tragic shooting on Wednesday at the Canadian Parliament, which left one member of the armed forces dead and the city on lockdown.

While Teigen was attempting to comment on the gun control laws in the United States, her sarcastic commentary was ill received by many.

She then shot back at critics, who claimed her words were insensitive. 

Sorry you don't understand that is a knock at america and our issues with gun control. No one is minimizing the Ottawa shooting.

Before reiterating her sentiments once again, refusing to apologize. 

I'm not apologizing. If you take it wrong, that is your fault.

She then proceeded to tweet a few cruel comments from critics, before admitting:

And she even swore to take some time off of Twitter in the wake of the backlash.

Teigen is no stranger to putting her virtual foot in her mouth. She previously engaged in a Twitter feud with Amanda Bynes and has even bashed her fans for criticizing her weight. 

"I mean, I'm very much in the heat of the moment and I say things that I'm feeling and then I'm like, 'Why did I do that?'" the model previously told E! News of her Twitter musings. 

"I regret things all the time," she added. "I've never regretted not saying something. I've only regretted saying something."
