Kim Kardashian turns 34 today, and the birthday girl has a lot to celebrate!

But before she was Kanye West's wife, North West's mom, or even a Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, Kim was a closet organizer to the stars, eager to break her way into the biz and get her own chance to shine.

In honor of Kim's B-Day and how far she's come, we dug up the brunette beauty's first-ever E! interview from April 2006. In it, a 25-year-old Kim, then a newbie to being in front of the cam, asks a producer confusedly, "Wait, do I look at you or the camera?"

Once she's figured that one out, the hardworking L.A. girl talks about how she made money long before she had an empire to her name. "I go into my clients' homes, and I help then clean out their closets," she says humbly, "and we take whatever they don't want, and I sell it for them on eBay."

Her clientele at the time included pals Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and Serena Williams, as well as other recognizable names like Brandi, Cindy Crawford, Sugar Ray Leonard, Rob Lowe and Kenny G.

In the clip, filmed 18 months before Keeping Up With the Kardashians season one premiered in October 2007, Kim says she "would totally do a show!"

"I really wanna do some kind of show that shows my life," she muses, "and what I do, and my closet stuff..."

So why exactly does 2006 Kim want to air her personal life on TV, and what, prey tell, does she think this will entail? Watch the clip above to find out what Kim thought before she became the ultimate reality TV star!
