Taylor Swift may be super successful and famous, but she still has insecurities just like everyone else.

In a recent interview with The Project, the 24-year-old "Shake It Off" singer revealed some of her childhood insecurities still haunt her.

"I always used to think to myself, ‘If I could just write songs, if I could just get a record deal, if I could just put out an album, then I swear I would be happy and I wouldn't need anything else," Swift dished (via Daily Mail). "And I think then you grow up and realize that the same things that you deal with in your childhood affect you when you're a grown up as well...You know, little kid, little problems—big kid, big problems."

Of course, being an A-list star comes with lots of rumors and gossip, but Swift says she doesn't let the tabloids get to her. "The fact that I get to write songs and put them out into the world and that's my job, it out-weighs anything people could say about me that isn't true," she dished.

As for her hit songs, some of which are about her famous exes, Swift said, "I have a really strict personal policy that I never name names."

But that doesn't stop fans from trying to figure out which of her former flames she's singing about. "You have more and more people paying attention to what you're doing and you've been doing it the same way your entire time as a songwriter but all of a sudden the perspective has changed," she said. "And they use you writing songs about your life kind of as a way to play detective."
