See? Romance isn't dead! Just look at the lengths this woman went to in order to show a man she's been on a couple dates with that she's super into him. It's a love story for the ages.
Or it's just a really unsettling case of online dating gone wrong. Probably the latter.
Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, a 30-year-old from Thousand Oaks, Calif., had to be rescued by firefighters on Sunday after she became stuck eight feet down in a chimney. And it's not a coincidence at all that said chimney was part of the roof that belonged to the man she had met online recently. The two had reportedly only been on six dates when Nunez-Figueroa tried to break into his house through the chimney, though her intent once she got into the house was unclear.

Firefighters had to take the chimney apart brick by brick using a jackhammer and then used liquid soup to extract the hopeless romantic.
However, the man she had been dating, who wished not to be identified, really did not appreciate her grand gesture.
"Before you have somebody come in your house really check them out; really give it some time before you let somebody in, because they might want to stay," he told KTLA.
Wise words.
After she was removed from the chimney, Nunez-Figueroa was arrested for allegedly illegally entering a residence and providing false information to an officer.
For all those out there who really like the person they just began daunting, here are some alternatives to climbing into someone's chimney to prove your devotion:
1. Text them
2. Send them flowers
3. Call them
4. Post a poem to their Facebook page for all to see
5. Send them a singing telegram (Side note: Is the singing telegram business still around?)
6. Literally anything else besides scaling someone's roof
