How cute is Lupita Nyong'o?!

The actress gave Star Wars fans a little sneak peek earlier today when she snapped a picture on the set of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. The funny photo shows the Academy Award winner wearing some black frame glasses and an Episode VII cap while flashing the biggest smile (with something in her teeth, of course) as she holds on tight to an action figure of Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

"Geeking out! #SWVII," the 31-year-old wrote with the snapshot on Instagram.

E! News was among the first to speak to Nyong'o after her casting was announced back in June while on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards in New York City. "I was cast two weeks ago," she said, denying reports that she was hired in the spring. "I'm glad it's out."

She initially announced her casting via Instagram, writing to fans, "I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far, far away!"

Plot details regarding Star Wars: Episode VII are being kept under wraps, as is typical with films in the blockbuster movie franchise. The story will be set 30 years after the events in 1983's Return of the Jedi. Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are reprising their roles of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, respectively, as well as Harrison Ford, who will reprise his role of Han Solo.

Along with Nyong'o, newcomers include Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, and Oscar Isaac.

J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
