Bob Mahoney/The CWAlliances are formed and broken so many times over in a single episode of The Originals that it can be hard to keep track of who has worked with whom and which person has already betrayed which person.
But we've got the scoop on an upcoming alliance that we've never seen before on the hit Vampire Diaries spinoff series, and it's one that we can't wait to see play out on-screen!
When we spoke with Charles Michael Davis about what to expect on the CW show, he was excited to reveal that Marcel is about to team up with none other than new hybrid, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin)!
"Marcel and Hayley work well together and we're going to see that for the first time pretty soon," Davis teased. "I love Phoebe as a person and it's funny that we never really got to work together until now."
Fans will get to see Klaus's surrogate son and his baby mama work together in tonight's episode, "Live and Let Die."
"We joke that we're on a hunt, CSI-style, teaming up together, following clues and saving the day," Davis said. "I can't give away too much, but they'll team up to save some werewolves from Vincent [aka Finn]."
For fans scratching their heads like we were, wondering why Marcel would put his own life on the line to protect wolves when wolves ran the vampires out of New Orleans, Davis explained that what they are doesn't matter in this situation.
"We learned in season one that [Marcel]'s got a thing for kids so it doesn't matter that they're werewolves," Davis said. "It's all about protecting the innocent."
The Originals airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
