As is his wont, the business magnate decided to attack Russell Brand via Twitter Thursday. "I watched Russell Brand @rustyrockets on the @jimmyfallon show the other night—what the hell do people see in Russell—a major loser!" Adding fuel to the fire, Trump, 68, added, "@katyperry must have been drunk when she married Russell Brand @rustyrockets – but he did send me a really nice letter of apology!"
Trump mistakenly tweeted that Brand had appeared on NBC's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In actuality, the comic appeared on NBC's Today, ABC's The View and CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman on Oct. 13. He appeared on CBS' Entertainment Tonight on Oct. 15.
Brand, 39, responded to the Celebrity Apprentice host's ire, tweeting, ".@realDonaldTrump are you drunk when you write these tweets? Or does that foam you spray on your bald head make you high?" He also tweeted, "I don't think your daddy left you any witty ripostes, and everything you have you inherited."
The rapid-fire responses didn't end there, however. The Revolution author also tweeted a link to an article published by The Atlantic: "'In Financial Circles, It's Pretty Well Known That Trump Is a Deadbeat.'"
Trump, in turn, turned his attention to Brand's ex-wife Katy Perry, who has not commented on the Twitter feud herself. "@katyperry Katy, what the hell were you thinking when you married loser Russell Brand. There is a guy who has got nothing going, a waste!" he tweeted. He continued, ".@katyperry I watched Russell Brand and I think his mind is fried - he looks really bad. Russell is a total joke, a dummy who is lost!"
Brand, at least, is in good company. Earlier that day, Trump attacked Barack Obama.
