By now you must have seen or at least heard about Brendan Jordan, the young boy who stole America's hearts right from our collective chests when he was spotted going "full diva" in the background of a local news segment. If you haven't watched it yet, click play above and bask in the glory that is Brendan's fierceness.

He is the best thing that's happened to local news since the penis-filled weather reports. He took Lady Gaga's "Applause" choreography and made it his own. Nay, he made it better. Even Gaga herself agreed that Brendan needs to be lifted up and recognized as our nation's newest hero:

And now, Brendan is taking his (hopefully longer than) 15 minutes of fame to promote Spirit Day, which is a day dedicated to taking a stand against LGBT youth bullying. You might have noticed all the purple happening on Twitter and Facebook, and hopefully people in your class/office are wearing purple to symbolize their support for the LGBT community.

Brendan posted this video to his Instagram today to talk about the importance of Spirit Day and urging people to help raise awareness by wearing purple, but unfortunately we see zero of his diva-licious dance moves. Maybe next time:
