Ansel Elgort is embracing his status as a heartthrob.

The 20-year-old actor ahs become one of the most in-demand youngsters in Hollywood thanks to his star-making role in The Fault in Our Stars (co-starring Shailene Woodley). In Hero Magazine (Issue 12), Elgort proudly displays his six-pack abs—and E! News has the exclusive first look at his sexy photo shoot!

"I couldn't be happier about being known for The Fault in Our Stars," says the up-and-coming actor, who is also an EDM musician that goes by the name Ansølo. "I'm lucky because a lot of people get known for big films and don't really get to show themselves. They are just known because the film is so popular. But this film was so much about the performances and the characters that it really was like an acting piece for both Shailene and me. We are so happy to be known for that because, as much as I think Divergent is a great movie, if I was only known for that I'd be like, 'Wait until you see me really act.'"

Elgort will reprise his role as Caleb Prior in Insurgent, the second installment in the Divergent franchise. He will also play the titular character in Van Cliburn, which chronicles the piano prodigy's rise to fame. Elgort currently appears in the movie Men, Women & Children, directed by Jason Reitman and co-starring Kaitlyn Dever, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer, Dean Norris and Adam Sandler.

The actor says he learned a lot from Sandler, as he's had success in both comedies and dramas. "Good comics always say that to be funny you have to be truthful. Good comedy is about the truth," he says. "And I suppose he's really good at that, because he's so truthful in this movie, in a really honest way."

As Elgort hones his craft, he's also learning how to deal with being a public figure.

"There's 9 million people in the city every day—you almost never see the same person twice," the New York City native explains. "That's awesome. But that's gone now. I don't have that now, which is crazy. Kaitlyn Dever, who's in this movie with me, we wanted to go grab an ice cream in L.A. and I realized that I can't go get ice cream in Los Angeles, that's not an option. I can't do it. Even if only one person recognizes me, the whole shop, even if they don't know who I am, wants pictures and autographs."

Hero Magazine (Issue 12) is on newsstands Oct. 21.
