YouTubeDemi Lovato's fiancé—make that the mother of the singer's future hubby—is opening up about her son's adorable proposal to the pop star, which took place at the singer's recent concert.
Over the weekend, the "Skyscraper'' beauty invited 5-year-old Grant on stage mid-show, where the little Lovatic popped the question, much to the delight of the singer, who happily accepted the tiny tot's proposal.
Grant's mother, Kelly Feikert, tells E! News about her son's once-in-a-lifetime experience at Demi's show. (It's safe to say Kelly and her son are both certified Lovatics!)
"It was so amazing to see him on stage with her," Feikert tells E! News. "I absolutely love Demi and have been a fan since she was on As the Bell Rings and Camp Rock, and love her music. I have been singing one of her songs to Grant as a lullaby since he was born! He loves Demi and has seen her four times in concert! So, it was surreal and amazing seeing him up there with someone we admire so much! We are such fans of her, even more so now!"
As for how Lovato first came to recognize the tiny admirer?
"We attended another Demi concert a few months ago in St. Louis and my friend Cassidy took a picture of Grant holding the sign that said, 'Demi, I have a ring for you,'" she explains. "And that video circulated on Twitter and Demi saw it and made the connection when she saw us in the crowd on Saturday. We had absolutely no idea it was going to happen!"
While the mother-son duo didn't get a chance to meet Demi, Kelly says that the two "got such an amazing memory."
"We can't believe all the lovely comments and stories about Grant's experience!" she gushed. "It is so neat!"
Demi is next scheduled to take the stage at the United Center in Chicago tonight before she heads to Louisville for a performance on Wednesday.
