Wanna know the best part about this story? By the time we finish typing it up, it could be announced that yet another U.S. state has struck down its ban on gay marriage. Things are moving that fast in the world of marriage equality and it's incredible to see.

As of right now, 30 states (and Washington, D.C.) allow same-sex marriage. That means more than half of the United States of America is allowing gay couples to get married, which honestly is a sentence we thought we'd be typing years and years down the road, but we are ridiculously overjoyed to be able to say it in 2014.

Here is your list of states where it's currently legal to marry your same-sex partner:

•Alaska
•California
•Colorado
•Connecticut
•Delaware
•Hawaii
•Idaho
•Illinois
•Indiana
•Iowa
•Maine
•Maryland
•Massachusetts
•Minnesota
•Nevada
•New Hampshire
•New Jersey
•New Mexico
•New York
•North Carolina
•Oklahoma
•Oregon
•Pennsylvania
•Rhode Island
•Utah
•Vermont
•Virginia
•Washington
•West Virginia
•Wisconsin

There are six states where the courts have ruled that the same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional, but the rulings have pending appeals:

•Arkansas
•Florida
•Kentucky
•Louisiana
•Michigan
•Texas

And here are the states (14 in all) where gay marriage is still illegal, although many of these states have had lawsuits filed challenging the ban, so at least they are making steps forward:

•Alabama
•Arizona
•Georgia
•Kansas
•Mississippi
•Missouri
•Montana
•Nebraska
•North Dakota
•Ohio
•South Carolina
•South Dakota
•Tennessee
•Wyoming

Now, obviously there is no stopping this glorious wave of equality, and we believe the inevitable is coming. Eventually, all 50 states will allow same-sex marriage. And that's a beautiful thing. The question is, however, which state do you think will be the last to strike down its gay marriage ban?

We're talking about the 14 states that have yet to do that, not the six that have already ruled the ban unconstitutional but are prevented from issuing marriage licenses because of appeals. We're curious to hear your thoughts. So take our poll below and let's have an intelligent and respectful discussion about gay marriage in the United States.
