The singer, who, as E! News exclusively confirmed, is dating Kat Dennings, opened up about his ladylove while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills Saturday, where the adorable duo made their first official outing as a couple.
"I do have such a lovely date tonight," the 33-year-old star admitted, singing his ladylove's praises. "I'm very lucky my girlfriend has joined me tonight. It's her first time hearing me sing. So I'm going to do some extra warmups tonight so I don't suck."
How can it be that the 2 Broke Girls star has never heard the best-selling recording artist hum a single tune?!
"We joke sing all the time, you know, we just, we harmonize on the radio, but no I haven't really done [any real singing], it always seems like a cheesy move on my part," he revealed. "Like, 'Hey you want to hear me sing?' So it's nice that we can both come out and support and then also as an added bonus I get to sing for her also."
E! News exclusively confirmed on Monday that the 28-year-old actress and the "Brave" singer are dating after the hot new couple rocked the red carpet together at the annual fundraising event.
"They were so cute together!" a source said of the precious pair. "They were adorable on the carpet. She was whispering in his ear a lot and they seemed really happy."
Groban performed three songs at the benefit, including the hit ''You Raise Me Up." And Dennings apparently enjoyed the performance as she later Instagramed a picture of herself getting cozy with her new beau on the red carpet, writing, "I ship it."
The singer, likewise, Instagrammed a similar image of the loved-up pair and captioned the pic, "I ship it too."
Prior to dating Groban, Dennings was most recently in a relationship with 2 Broke Girls guest star Nick Zano. Meanwhile, the Crazy Stupid Love star dated Mad Men actress January Jones and previously had a fling with singer Katy Perry.
