Marc Baptiste/FacebookShakira opened up about her second baby bump at the launch of her new fragrance, Rock! on Thursday. The singer told Hello! she will be taking the next year to focus on her new baby and son, Milan.
The "Hips Don't Lie" singer fortunately has a man by her side to help her with all the baby planning. Gerard Piqué is very hands-on with everything baby related, she says.
"He is very involved with his son. He is always there for him, and that's a big advantage for me as I cannot imagine it any other way," she said.
Just last month Shakira and Pique were watching the Basketball World Cup quarterfinal in Barcelona, Spain where the pregnant musician covered her adorable bump with a black knit top. The two were affectionate and looked happy to be with one another.
The singer's parents had just revealed their daughter's second pregnancy earlier that day to Hola! Magazine saying, "We're very happy…she's having another baby boy—a playmate for Milan."
The couple's first bundle of joy was born in January 2013. Shakira also admitted, "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard—my own fútbol team."
The star also commented on motherhood saying, "When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel."
Besides being parents, Shakira and Piqué are enjoying their relationship as well. Shakira told Glam Belleza Latina, "We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby."
While her growing family may be her main attention right now, Shakira will begin to work on a new Spanish album next year.
