Before his Sundance dinner party and concert Saturday night at Tao, I sat down with rapper-actor 50 Cent at the House of Hype to discuss his new production company, the Sundance vs. Cannes thing and more. For a guy with such a badass rep, Fiddy was surprisingly polite and very nice in person.

Here are three things I learned during our sit-down sesh:

2. Besides Doing the Production Thing, Fiddy Also Moonlights as a Reporter:  He's scheduled to interview Paris Hilton at the MySpace Cafe at Sundance, which will be posted online. I asked if he’d prepared some tough Q’s for the heiress.

“I got all of the best questions for Paris, but I don’t wanna blow it and tell them here,” he said. Guess we’ll just have wait and watch online.

3. He Prefers This Festival in Park City to the Glitzy One in the South of France:  "I’ve been to the Cannes Festival a few times," he dished, adding that it's his first time at Sundance. "This festival is exciting, because a lot more people can afford to be here. The actual actors are here...Cannes is a $15,000 trip. So, a lot of people pass on it, but they can come here.”

Hey, Sundance may be cheaper than Cannes, but the weather's way better by the beaches of France, n'est-ce pas?
