Teresa Giudice may not have completely understood her plea deal when she accepted it, but many question whether or not she would have ever even been in such a compromising position had it not been for her husband Joe Giudice's illegal activity—and that's exactly what Bravo's Andy Cohen brought up during part two of his exclusive sit-down with The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars.

The host asked Joe, "How does it feel knowing your actions resulted in your wife being a convicted felon and facing prison?"

"Obviously not good, definitely not good," he began, and then turned to his wife and said, "I want to apologize that I got you into this mess. I don't even know what else to say. If I could take it all back, I would but I just can't and I'm sorry you have to go through all this. I tried to do everything I could to convince the judge not [to convict you] but I have no control over that."

The mother of four leaned in, kissed Joe and said, "I love you. You just have to be there for our daughters."

She also took the opportunity to give the public an apology, saying, "I want to apologize to the people out there I let down and I want to say I'm deeply sorry for what I've done."

Earlier in the show, Teresa came to her husband's defense, telling Andy, "I don't think he meant to hurt me in any way," she said. "I think it' a learning lesson for both of us, right honey?" She added, "Since [the sentencing], he's been feeling bad and keeps coming up to me and hugging me. All I can keep saying to him is...what do I keep saying?" she asked. Joe said, "Take care of my daughters."

"That's all I want you to do," Teresa told him.

Andy then asked Joe if he feels guilty for involving his wife. "I do, but at the same time, what am I going to do? I did everything I could to get her out of it, but it didn't work."

Teresa will begin her 15-month jail sentence on Jan. 5, 2015. Joe, meanwhile, will spend 41 months in jail after Teresa is released. Joe also faces the possibility of deportation after his sentence is finished.
