Hold up—is there seriously a new Friends coming our way? Could we really be that lucky?!

When Life & Style reported that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are all planning to do a new TV show that Cox has pitched about middle-aged women and their families, we were immediately skeptical. Rumors of Friends reunions come so often (and are always false...except for that awesome Jimmy Kimmel sketch that we've watched about 100 times now) that we usually take them with a giant heap of salt.

It's better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best, right?

And we were right to not immediately celebrate!

We asked Cox herself about the new rumors, and she cleared them up right away.

"No, there's no truth to that. No," Cox told E! News on the set of Cougar Town. "I wish! How fun. We have dinner, like, every month or so, and we have the best time. I will bring it up next dinner, for sure!"

Yes, please! How awesome would it be to get all three Friends ladies together again, either onscreen or producing a show together?

Let the record show, though: We're not holding our breath for any kind of onscreen reunion. After all, we have named Friends as one of the 11 epic TV shows that are never, ever getting back together

Of course, in the meantime, we have Lisa Kudrow's comeback in The Comeback to look forward to. The cult-hit classic HBO comedy is set to return for a limited run reunion season on Nov. 9.

And the final season of Cougar Town will air on TBS early next year. (Check back for more scoop from the set closer to that.)
