For Aaron Carter, Hilary Duff will always be the one who got away.
More than a decade after the "That's How I Beat Shaq" singer and the Lizzie McGuire star called it quits, Carter repeatedly professed his love for his ex-girlfriend on Twitter and in interviews. Ignoring the fact that Duff is still married to ex-hockey player Mike Comrie, Carter's gushy tweets quickly turned creepy. Andy Cohen asked Duff how it felt to have Carter "declaring his love" for her on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live Wednesday. "Really?" the Younger actress, 27, asked. "I'm going to hurt you right now."
Cohen said she didn't have to answer, but Duff obliged. "It's...ugh! I don't know. I don't know what to say about it! It was so many years ago. I literally haven't seen him in...so, it's uncomfortable," she said.
"He's just feeling you on Twitter publicly," Cohen said. Duff replied, "It's nice to be felt."
Fellow guest Giada De Laurentiis didn't know that the former teen stars were an item in the early '00s. "Did you date him? Is that what happened?" the celebrity chef asked. "I'm obviously not in the loop."
"Oh, yes! Oh yes, yes, yes, I did," Duff said. "When I was 13!"
Duff reiterated that Carter, 26, "was very sweet...when I was 13."
(In a recent interview, Carter addressed his tweets about Duff. "I just need to shut up now about it. I think it's time," he said. "She's got a kid and she's married and I'm not trying to be that dude. That's not my intention.")
In the same Watch What Happens Live episode, Duff answered some shady questions from "Shady She-Gull." "If you had to switch lives today with one of these ladies, who would you choose: [Lindsay Lohan], Amanda Bynes or Miley Cyrus?" the animated character asked. The "Thinking About You" singer replied, "So shady! Geez. I think that I would go with Miley. Naughty little She-Gull, making me answer that!"
"Tell Mama Bird who's better in the sack: musicians or athletes?" the character asked. "Oh, my gosh! I can't answer that question," the shocked star answered. "I don't even know what you're talking about."
Finally, the She-Gull asked, "If you had to take a dip in the lady pond, Hilary, which lady would you swim with?" She asked, "I don't get options? Geez, I don't know. Angelina Jolie? How about Charlize Theron?"
