George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's honeymoon destination may be closer than we think.

Although reports initially surfaced claiming the Oscar-winning actor and human rights lawyer were spending their first days as husband and wife in beautiful Seychelles, it appears the couple may actually be opting for a staycation.

According to The Sun, the twosome is currently enjoying a secret honeymoon at a new London pad Clooney bought as a wedding gift to his new wife.

"They have just bought a house in London and are really excited about beginning their new life together there as a married couple," a source told E! News. "George seems to have let Amal take care of decorating the new house in London. She has impeccable taste which is very similar to his. It's lovely for them to have a completely new place to move into as a married couple."

The super-private couple said "I Do" at a $4.6 million wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, Sept. 27.

In front of close to 100 guests including Matt Damon, Bill Murray and John Krasinski, the couple exchanged vows at sunset in front of hundreds of flickering candles.

One day later, the newlyweds glowed as they made their first public appearance as husband and wife. As Clooney stunned in a tailored suit, Alamuddin turned heads in a Giambattista Valli Couture mini dress.

"George and Amal could not have been happier," an onlooker told E! News. "They were smiling and hugging." They would later make their wedding legal with a special civil ceremony.

Today, the couple is keeping a low profile as they try to enjoy time together away from the paparazzi. Based on what fans saw during the wedding weekend, we can only imagine how happy these two are together.

"They are clearly on top of the world," an eyewitness told E! News. "They are just thrilled to be enjoying their wedding."

Enjoy the honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Clooney!
