Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe are not alone.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars got a major reality check when they were both sentenced Thursday to respective prison terms, a federal judge giving Joe 41 months behind bars for fraud and tax evasion charges and then handing his wife 15 months on the fraud counts.

Viewers have witnessed all kinds of drama involving the TV stars on the small screen, but their legal woes proved that there's even more (and usually much greater) troubles that happen behind the scenes. From divorces to arrests to affairs, a number of ladies from the popular Bravo franchise have had their fair share of real problems that may not have played out on the show.

Here are some of the biggest bombshells:

Brandi Glanville & Joanna Krupa Lawsuit: Things got seriously ugly between these two when Krupa hired a lawyer with plans to sue Glanville for "slander, libel, defamation and/or intentional infliction of emotional distress" over past claims Glanville has made about the supermodel's alleged affair with Mohamed Hadid (not to mention her alleged smelly vagina) during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

Camille & Kelsey Grammer's Divorce: Viewers watched as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars' marriage fall apart in season one after 16 years and two kids together.

What was already a sticky situation became even worse when it was discovered that Kelsey had a mistress on the side. The other woman, Kayte Walsh, is now his wife and mother of his child, and since season one it's been a long line of bad parenting accusations, messy financial settlements and Kelsey supposedly banning their kids from saying Camille's name in his home.

Russell Armstrong's Suicide: Tragedy occurred shortly after Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce from her husband after six years of marriage in 2011, citing physical and verbal abuse.

Russell was found dead after hanging himself at his Mulholland Drive house. Coroner investigator Kristy McCracken noted that Armstrong was found hanging in the northwest corner of his bedroom of the home he was living in with a friend. The orange extension cord he used was wrapped three times around a wooden beam and looped twice around his neck.

Bethenny Frankel Divorce: The Real Housewives of New York star filed for divorce from hubby Jason Hoppy in January 2013. The two are still in the midst of a lingering divorce battle and Hoppy didn't stop wearing his wedding ring until April—16 months after the former couple's separation.

Porsha Stewart Divorce: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star found out about her divorce the same way the rest of the world did: through Twitter.

After an emotional deposition on the reality show, Stewart admitted that she felt that Kordell Stewart often showed zero interest in her physically, and she even revealed that she questioned his sexuality before they got married.

"I asked him about the rumors of him being gay," Porsha said. "He explained it away. I didn't question whether he was gay or not because someone else said it. Any reason I questioned it were things I had experienced or seen."

Ramona Singer Divorce: After continously denying any trouble in her marriage, the Real Housewives of New York star filed for divorce from her husband Mario Singer in Jan. 28.

The filing came just one day after it was revealed that the couple had separated after 22 years of marriage.

Rumors had been circulating for months that Mario was carrying on an affair with a young woman named Kasey Dexter. "Ramona had no idea about Kasey until the [New York] Post ran the story about Mario getting another woman pregnant over the summer," an insider told E! News on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Camille's Cancer Diagnosis: Grammer first revealed she was diagnosed with early stage endometrial cancer in October 2013, after her rep had confirmed to E! News that she "underwent a radical hysterectomy."

"The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period." The 45-year-old "was at elevated risk due to genetic issues," her rep also confirmed. Grammer completed chemotherapy and fortunately is feeling very well. "Once in a while I'll get a little pain here and there, but I'm walking around. I was able to go trick-or-treating with my kids and my life is moving forward and I'm feeling very well," she said during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show on Nov. 14, 2013.

Tamra & Simon Barney Divorce and Custody Battle: The couple was married for 11 years and announced their split in 2010.

According to the papers filed by Simon, Tamra was "verbally abusive and has committed acts of disloyalty and infidelity." Tamra fired back on her Facebook page, insiting that "all accusations are false." The estranged pair then engaged in a custody battle after Simon asked for full custody of their children, claiming Tamra is a "negligent mother."

NeNe Leakes' Son's Arrest: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star's son Bryson Bryant, who has appeared on the show with his mom, was taken behind bars after allegedly getting caught stealing from a store in Gwinnett County, Ga. (an Atlanta suburb), back in 2011. He was held on the shoplifting count as well as a potential probation violation, stemming from a marijuana arrest the previous year.

Michaele Salahi's Affair: The Real Housewives of D.C. star and Journey guitarist Neal Schon came to be a couple 10 days after the rocker invited the reality star and her husband at the time, Tareq Salahi, to his concert in Virginia. After his wife disappeared with Neal, Tareq feared she was kidnapped and begged the public to be on the lookout for his missus. But kidnapped she was not—instead she had run off with Neal in what he called a "fairy tale."

Michaele, who her ex referred to as a "groupie slut," ended up marrying Schon. The duo exchanged vows at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts in December 2013.

LuAnn de Lesseps Divorce: The Countess and Real Housewives of New York star called it quits with Count Alexandre de Lesseps, who she has two children with, in 2009 after 16 years of marriage. Brandi Glanville & LeAnn Rimes Feud: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and the country crooner, who is married to Brandi's ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, have been going at it for years. And although Glanville said she was done with the drama, she reignited the feud in her latest book.

"It's been five years now since I discovered my ex-husband was sleeping with half of the women in Hollywood," she wrote in Drinking and Dating:  P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance, and also took a dig at LeAnn's 2013 album Spitfire, saying, "When you write an entire c--t'ry album about your affair with a married man, most people won't buy it."

Phaedra Parks & Apollo Nida's Legal Trouble: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star's hubby began his eight-year sentence a few weeks ago, which was issued in July following his guilty plea to bank fraud back in May. After E! News received confirmation that Nida was in custody, Steve Honig, a spokesperson for Nida's wife Phaedra Parks, told E! News in a statement, "There was an incident at Phaedra's house yesterday involving Apollo, however we're not getting into any details beyond that."

My nieces and nephews are amazing, and everyone is doing really, really well."
