Sorry, Dallas fans, but we've got some bad news for you.

TNT has canceled the reboot series after the explosive season three finale that killed Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe).

The show will not return for season four to explore the aftermath of that major death, E! News has confirmed.

"TNT has decided not to renew Dallas," a TNT spokesperson told us. "We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show's creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series."

Season three ended on quite the cliffhanger, with a two-hour finale that not only killed off Christopher but also introduced a new character: J.R.'s long-lost daughter!

Fans were shocked to find out that John Ross (Josh Henderson) had a sister, but now we'll never get to see how that storyline plays out either.

Back in 2012, TNT premiered the revival of the CBS soap of the same name that ran from 1978 to 1991, bringing back some of the original stars like Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman. The new series also starred Metcalfe, Henderson, Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo.

Are you sad to see Dallas ride off into the sunset?
