Paws up, Little Monsters! Lady Gaga got a tattoo for you.
The 28-year-old pop star, known as Mother Monster to her fans, got a large "Monster Paw" (aka a human-looking hand with some seriously scary claws) inked on her back Thursday. She Instagrammed some very revealing pictures of tattoo artist Eric Gonzalez hard at work on the design.
And while Gaga's new body art is on her back, she inexplicably left her bare butt exposed during the tattooing process. Her wig, makeup and heels (!) stayed on though, for whatever reason...
In any case, Gaga already considers this her best body art to date. "My favorite tattoo is the one I got last night in Hamburg," she revealed in a Reddit AMA question and answer session Friday. "Its the Monster Paw, the symbol of my fans as they have held their paws high in the crowd every night since we became a community. I cherish it for its meaning, the loyalty, devotion, and strength we share. I wanted it engraved on me forever."
This isn't the only body art Gaga's inked on herself in honor of her fans (she has "Little Monsters" inscribed on the inside of her wrist, too), but it's probably not the last. If you look closely, though, you'll notice that the pop star only has tattoos on one side of her body.
"My father asked that I remain on one side slightly normal. So I only have my tattoos on my left side," she revealed last year during a chat at Google Headquarters in New York. "He's asked I don't have any more on my right side. I think he sees that as my Marilyn Monroe side."
