Mellie Grant is known for her high-fashion and even higher hair, but this season of Scandal the first lady played by Bellamy Young has been in mourning after the death of her son. With mourning on Scandal comes a variety of bathrobes, Uggs and lots of snacking.

In just two episodes of Scandal season four, Mellie has worn a variety of robes; from chic and somewhat sexy to the kind your mom wore on Sundays when she decided not to get dressed all day. Let's break them down.

Mellie's premiere bathrobe was cheery, a little sultry and full of the flash we've come to know and love with this firecracker of a character. She ate cereal and trolled for booze while wearing it.

Later in the episode Mellie donned another fancier and colorful robe while hanging out on a balcony and drinking, talking about Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn) suicide attempt. Please note: Uggs are always present. Don't her feet get super sweaty?

Mellie has a favored robe while visiting her son's grave in the cemetery: A chunky gray number that she's not afraid to get dirty. See her in the premiere and in the second episode eating chips while on the ground.

Mellie's episode two robes included the aforementioned gray graveyard robe and her newest addition, the crimson red balcony robe. Perfect for eating fried chicken and reading magazines in.

Later in the episode she finally got dressed after redhead lady—Abby (Darby Stanchfield)—gave her a pep talk about being the first lady. But it was all a show, as we saw when she broke down after Fitz's speech.

All bathrobes aside, Young has been doing ace work as the grieving mother.

Scandal airs Thursdays, 9 p.m. on ABC.
