Mario Lopez is spilling his secrets in his upcoming memoir Just Between Us, and on Thursday, he stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to tease a few highlights from his forthcoming tome.

"When a man turns 40, it's an important time to pause and reflect on how he got there and to help make a mature plan for the future and what better way than to write it down?" the Extra host told Ellen DeGeneres when asked why he was inspired to share his personal story.

He added that the writing process was "very therapeutic" and "got kinda emotional" before revealing that the memoir will be full of plenty of juicy deets.

Among the surprising revelations? Lopez, who was born in Chula Vista, Calif, which is the border town to Tijuana, claims that his father would sneak immigrants across the border.

"My dad did what he had to do to take care of us, and often when we'd take trips across the border, he'd pull over and he'd open the trunk and sometimes people would come out," he candidly shared with a laugh.

After the former Saved by the Bell star noted that he "didn't think much of it as a kid," Ellen quipped, "You just thought you had the better seat."

In addition to sharing childhood memories, Lopez also touches on his love life as well as his decision to lose his virginity at a very early age. "I'm not proud [of it]," he admitted, "But you grow up kind of quick in the hood."

DeGeneres then brings up the section in Mario's book where he cops to having a one-night stand with a major "pop star" in Las Vegas.

But of course, Mario's confession instantly piques Ellen's curiosity, causing the comedian to pester Lopez with questions in an attempt to identify his mystery hookup.

"What year was this around?" Ellen asks with a seemingly innocent expression.

"It was uh…maybe six, seven years ago, eight years ago?" he replies.

And then, Ellen puts her sleuthing skills to the test.

"Who was performing in Vegas six or seven years ago?" Ellen says at which point Mario clarifies that she wasn't performing, the deed just happened to go down in Sin City.

"Are you friends now still?" the comedian continues.

"Yeah we're friendly," Mario admits.

"So have you interviewed her since?" Ellen presses her guest as he turns bright red in the cheeks.

"Oh my gosh, I can't, I can't," he says, clearly a bit embarrassed. "You know, my wife, who is the most important as far as her opinion to get her blessing and she's totally cool and she's knows everything, but out of respect for her and out of respect for this person, you know, I'm a gentleman and I don't want to drop names."

"No, I don't want you to," Ellen replied. "I'm just guessing…unless you want to take your shirt off."

"It's either the name or the shirt," she adds.

Well played, Ellen, well played.
