What's better than dressing up in costumes and running around outside with kids to go trick or treating on Halloween?

Staying inside and watching TV, duh!

Listen, we love Halloween. We really do. But honestly, we'd rather watch TV about Halloween from the comfort of our own couch instead of braving the masses that run amok on the scariest night of the year. Sorry we're not sorry!

Besides, there is just so much good, Halloween-themed TV on this month! From new holiday-themed episodes of our favorite shows to scary marathons to classic movies, there are so many reasons to stay inside and watch TV.

Here's all the Halloween specials we're excited about, so mark your calendars now!

Constantine: NBC gets into the comic book show game with this new drama based on the DC Comics series Hellblazer. Matt Ryan stars as John Constantine, a demon hunter and master of dark arts who must work to save the world from a coming evil even though his own soul has already been damned to Hell. The series premiere airs Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m.

Pretty Little Liars: It's Halloween, witches, and "A" is up to his or her usual tricks for the fan-appreciation special, "We Love You to DeAth," airing at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 on ABC Family.

Syfy's 31 Days of Halloween: This month-long marathon runs through Friday, October 31, featuring nearly 600 hours of creepy programming along with the 10th anniversary Ghost Hunters special airing at Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. and the 200th episode on Oct. 22 at 9 p.m.

ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween: With classic movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas to new hits like the final two Harry Potter movies, as well as Halloween-themed episodes of Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy, this annual marathon airs all day long from Sunday, Oct. 19–Friday, Oct. 31.

Hocus Pocus: Bette Midler puts a spell on all of us in one of the greatest Halloween movies ever, airing at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 on ABC Family.

Fox

The Simpsons: In this year's annual Treehouse of Horror episode, The Simpsons are about to take on the scariest villains yet: themselves from the '80s! In a parody of the horror film, The Others, Homer, Bart and co. are haunted by a family of ghosts that look strangely like their earliest versions of themselves from The Tracey Ullman Show. "We've implied that they were murdered and buried under the house, so this is expanding that thought," executive producer Al Jean said. "If people want a real Halloween bloodbath, they get it."

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Marathon: Beginning Oct. 26 at noon on FXX, you can watch all 24 Treehouse of Horror Halloween special episodes of The Simpsons. D'oh!

AMC's Zombie Apocalypse Week: Catch up on season one through four of The Walking Dead, running from Oct. 6-10 before the season five premiere on Sunday, Oct. 12.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Everyone's favorite Halloween cartoon airs Oct. 15 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC, with the Peanuts gang celebrating Halloween and Linus hoping that he will finally be visited by The Great Pumpkin.

Scorpion crossover episode with NCIS: LA: Walter O'Brien's (Elyes Gabel) team of super-geniuses on Scorpion enlist the help of NCIS: LA's Hetty (Linda Hunt) when a lead on an upcoming case tracking down a priceless painting takes them to a Halloween party and they need her expertise to go undercover and infiltrate the event. The episode of Scorpion airs in late October.

Grimm: It's only right that the season premiere of NBC's spooky show debuts right before Halloween. Now that Nick has lost his Grimm abilities, he must figure out who he is on his own. The season premiere airs Friday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m.
