The show, and the Jeffersonian team, must go on.

The Fox hit's gang said goodbye to Sweets (John Francis Daley) after his shocking death at the end of the season 10 premiere, and it was an extremely emotional episode for Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and the rest of the team. But after the devastating loss of Sweets, executive producer Stephen Nathan assured that Bones will still be Bones

"Bones is not going to turn into a dark show where they are dealing with these demons all of the time," he said. "We are going to be back on our traditional Bones footing very quickly."

And that footing includes a new big bad, a new baby and a new partner...

Saying Goodbye: At the end of the episode, the team said goodbye to Sweets with a touching and tearjerking tribute, that ended with a sing-a-long to his favorite song, Harry Nilsson's "Coconut."

"Really this is a two-part in a very classic way…dealing with one of our most beloved characters leaving our family. So we wanted to send him off in a way that honored his memory and showed how much our characters have changed, grown because of their contact with Sweets," Nathan said of the final scene. "We really wanted to show that and show what this family is made of and how they pull together in the most horrible of circumstances and get through."

Fans can expect to se Daisy and her and Sweet's child in a future episode, Nathan said. "I don't think people who have grown close to her and really love her in their own way over these past five, six years, not going to let her they're not going to send her out in the world alone. When this baby is born, this baby will be cared for."

A New Big Bad: In the second half of the season, a seriously evil new presence will likely emerge.

"I can safely say that there is going to be something else lurking out there. I don't think the world ever exists with simple murders…I think we need something a little more evil. It might be in the second half of the year. We'll be getting involved in another case where there's someone who's not nice, not a good person."

Trust Issues: After dealing with this major conspiracy and the death of his friend, Booth is going to have some major trust issues, with series newbie, Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) surviving as "the focus of that initially."

"Booth is going to have to learn how to trust Aubrey and Aubrey is going to have to earn trust," Nathan previewed. "He's a strange guy but it's a brilliant agent who is unintimidated. Aubrey is somebody who...socially he'll just blunder into things. But at the same time, Booth will learn to trust the fact that he is a great agent."
