Jason Aldean could not help but break into a smile as he was asked about his engagement on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday's episode.

It was revealed last week that the country star is set to wed Brittany Kerr, a past American Idol contestant and former cheerleader for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats (see her ring!). On her show, Ellen DeGeneres asked Aldean about their engagement after he performed his new single, "Burnin' It Down."

"It's pretty good times right now, for sure," he said.

This will mark Aldean's second marriage. He filed for divorce from first wife Jessica Ussery, his high school sweetheart and mother of their two daughters, in April 2013 after 12 years of marriage and seven months after photos of showing him and Kerr packing on the PDA at a bar were released.

The singer apologized over the incident, saying he had "acted inappropriately," had had too much to drink and "ultimately ended up embarrassing" his family and himself.

He had also attempted to reconcile with Ussery, who then appeared with him in a TV interview as he talked about their marital issues. After he filed for divorce, he said in a statement, "I know that we will both always make our daughters our No. 1 priority."

Aldean has since spoken about the cheating scandal in the press. He told Billboard in an interview published last month, "It has been two years of this s--t—get over it, already!"

In May 2014, Aldean's rep confirmed that the singer and Kerr were dating. They made their official red carpet debut at the 2014 CMT Awards in Nashville in June.

Since April, she has shared many photos and videos of the two together since April, showing them on various dates, doing things such as swimming with dolphins, kissing at sunset and going to the zoo.
