Cindy Ord/Getty ImagesLooks like Bethenny Frankel won't be returning to RHONY as a full-fledged cast member any time soon—but her fans can still get excited.
Despite an initial report by Us Weekly that the über-popular Housewife will return to The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny herself is saying it's not true—and that her new plans for TV run deeper than an RHONY return.
During a SiriusXM Radio interview with Jenny Hutt, Frankel said the rumor got started because, "I'm going in and out of Bravo, I'm talking to Andy [Cohen] about two different projects, because he's got a production company now….I haven't signed or decided to do anything. But it's not what everyone thinks it is."
Frankel wouldn't specifically say which projects she is discussing with Cohen, but added: "He's doing a lot of different shows, so we're talking about a couple of different things and deciding together what we're going to do. So that could be why everyone's writing about this."
The Real Housewives of New York City currently stars LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer, as well as current stars Sonja Morgan, Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Kristen Taekman.
Frankel exited the series in 2010 after spending three seasons on the Bravo hit, but still kept her toe in the franchise pool.
Since leaving RHONY, Frankel, 43, has her own spinoff series, Bethenny Getting Married? and Bethenny Ever After, which centered on her marriage to Jason Hoppy. Frankel filed for divorce in January 2013, and the duo were involved in a divorce battle. The duo has a 4-year-old daughter, Bryn, together.
"I'm in a good place," Frankel told us in May. "Life is a journey, not a destination. I'm on the road. And the road is paved with good intentions!"
Today, Frankel told SiriusXM Radio that she's not ruling out reality TV altogether: "I don't know that I'm going back to reality TV. There are some shows that I'm talking about that have a little bit of structure in reality. But if you're asking me if I would ever do that —or if I would be afraid to do that because of that that – I would say no. Because whether it's write books or do interviews—I haven't really done interviews in a long time, this is the first week because of the book … If I'm going through something negative, very often I can help somebody else who's going through something negative."
Frankel also hosted her own talk show, Bethenny, which was canceled in February after one season.
