In fact, the Goop goddess even got a special visit from her ex-hubby Chris Martin. Paparazzi caught snapshots of the Coldplay frontman driving to Paltrow's private residence during the day on Saturday, which we can only assume was to drop off a sweet gift or just to wish the mother of his children a great day.
Later that evening, a lineup of celebs arrived at Paltrow's Los Angeles home for a birthday bash! There's no word whether the "Fix You" crooner stayed for the festivities, but it was quite the star-studded event! Paltrow's party included guests Maya Rudolph, Nicole Richie, Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire, Kate Hudson, Rashida Jones and more!
Gwyneth posted a gorgeous selfie with flowers surrounding her pretty face on Instagram over the weekend and wrote a sweet message to those who acknowledged her birthday. "thank you for all the birthday wishes! #feelingthelove," she captioned the pic.
While Paltrow is usually the picture of perfection, the star recently admitted that she too struggles to balance her personal and professional lives. "Some days I just think I am failing everywhere," she told Viva. "Like today, I was making lunch and saying to myself, 'This lunch is so bad,' throwing pasta in the lunch bag, yelling, 'Get in the car.' I was losing my cool."
Paltrow, who consciously uncoupled from Martin several months ago, continued, "I think it's very hard to try to find the right balance, and I think we all aspire to that balance, but it's easier said than done. It's just a matter of trying your best each day and not being too hard on yourself about things."
